the Kreutz comet survived its Perihelion passage,
an event never seen before with ~2000 Kreutz SOHO comets

comet C/2011 W3 (Lovejoy) on December, 13+14 2011 (SOHO LASCO C3)

the Kreutz comet is approaching it's Perihelion passage.
on this animation, there are 3 Kreutz comets visible.
A = small Kreutz comet with tail short just before its perihelion passage
B = starlike object preceding comet Lovejoy about half degree, maybe a fragment of A
C = comet C/2011 W3 (Lovejoy)
